South Africa

Safari    Countryside    Johannesburg   Pretoria   Drakensberge

Situated at the north-eastern edge of the southern african highland - the Drakensberge.

Here in the mountains it can be very cold during winter time.
You can follow the Panorama-Route through the amazing landscape. It is one of the most beautiful roads in South Africa.
Within a small area a lot of tourist highlights are waiting for visitors.
So for example Pilgrims Rest, a former gold digger's town, restored a few years ago and one of the most famous places in the Drakensberge.

Eastwards high cliffs mark the edge of the highland.
Just like here at God's Window, frequently foggy.
